I'm the managing editor of Scout Magazine, which means I get to do whatever I damn well please.

That's not true. But Scout has afforded me the opportunity to prod, annoy, pester and stalk (and photograph!) some of Vancouver's most driven, talented, and interesting people, and that's not something I take for granted. I've talked to artists, entrepreneurs and craftspeople, and after two years I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface.

Below are some of my favourite Scout stories so far:

- An interview with the scary-smart Omer Arbel, designer and creative lead at Bocci

- Chat with Jeff Hamada, art advocate and founder of international art archive Booooooom

- Ricky Alvarez, industrial designer behind Tinto Creative who poured molten pewter as we spoke, therefore making him the most badass interview I've ever done

- A discussion with Jeff Martin, who makes some seriously crazy shit out of wood
